The Daily Post: Pattern

For today’s prompt: pattern, this is what I came up with…

I see patterns everywhere. Natural and artificial, large and small, intricate and simple. The photo is from my last trip to Turkey. I was not able to buy any of the beautiful ceramics (or carpets) this time, but looking at the photos I took reminds me of the time the merchants took to explain the meanings of the patterns to me. I wish I had more time (and money) to spend with them. 🙂

  1. I am also a lover of hand-painted porcelain/ceramics.
In every country I visit, I find on their plates the culture of the place… in China, dragons or bamboo forests in Japan idyllic landscapes perched on rocky shores, in Maocco or North Africa in general we find arabesques much like those shown in your photo. But then there is the Central Africa where predominate the stylized decoration of animals and bush types, or in the Southeast Asian islands the fishs or shells ar burdened into the green ceramic…
Have a lovely week and thank you for sharing! :-)claudine
